Barton Road Is Now Open

Please be aware that Barton Road will be closed for 30 days beginning on Monday October 30, 2017. Below are listed alternate directions to our parish that you may use during that time period. There are detour signs in St. Clairsville that will assist you.

From the West:

Take either the Route 40 Exit or Route 9 Exit up to Main Street in downtown St. Clairsville.

At the second light in town (Sugar Street) turn left and follow this road which will become Crescent Road. When you have traveled approximately 4 miles you will see Woodland Acres Nursing Home on your left. Shortly after that you will see two small signs for County Road 5 and 10. Turn right onto County Road 10.

Follow this road until you reach the Barton Volunteer Fire Dept Building on your left (you will know when you are getting close because you will see the back of the church on your right). Turn right at that stop sign, go over the bridge and continue to go right and the church will be ahead on the right.

From the East:

1.) From Route 470 take Exit 1 (Mall Road/Banfield Road) turn right at the exit and then right at the light at the BP Gas station. Follow Route 40 pass Mehlmans & over the viaduct. Go to 2.) and continue with directions.

From Route 70 you may take Exit (Route 214). At the end of the exit you will need to make a VERY sharp right turn onto Route 40. Follow this down the hill & over the viaduct.

2.) At the bottom of the viaduct make a sharp left turn which will bring you along the side of the bridge. At the end of this road turn right & follow the road for 4 1/2 miles into Barton.

When you reach Barton you will come to a T in the road, turn left at the stop sign (pass the Mousetrap) and then make a left at the Barton Volunteer Fire Dept. Building, over the bridge and continue to go right and the church will be ahead on the right.
